Gift artwork for Maggie Theis and her powerful Lord of the Rings fanfiction ‘Perchance to Dream’ - [link] . I love its key theme of friendship and brotherhood surviving all torments. It’s an absolutely amazing piece of writing and a very emotional read.
Forty chapters and still counting but I strongly recommend it! By the time you catch up you’ll be wishing there were forty more! Needless to say this isn’t slash art! If you still think otherwise I suggest you go away and read Lord of the Rings and then Perchance and hopefully then you may find yourself a little more understanding toward the concept of close platonic male relationships. EDIT: Apologies if I confused anyone. The clasped hands are relevant to the fanfiction, not just some random thing I threw in for the heck of it. This is a beautiful and stirring piece, the composition is wonderful and I love the detailing in the border. It caught my eye immediately as being Rings art even in the tiny thumbnail on the main page, so you have done fine justice to their likeness. Really impressive work.
